This was an outstanding performance by Town against tough opponents in Croesyceiliog who had beaten us 2-0 on the opening game of the season. It was also a proud day for our Youth as four 17 year olds and one 18 year old featured in today’s squad with all on the pitch at the end of a 6-1 victory. With three other 17 year olds having been selected for 1st team in last 6 months - it’s a great time to be a Town youngster.
Straight from the off Town were causing problems and immediately went close but the strike went over the bar. Soon there was a call for a penalty for hand ball but official Martin Cook waved the claim away

It wasn't long though until Town extened their lead and this time it was Callum Silcox who gave keeper Jack Harris no chance from close range (2-0)
Croesyceiliog did start to get into the game after Town's second goal and Town's defence was kept honest by some good attacking play with Alex Bonthron and Thomas Hodge looking dangerous.
Town though finished the first half with a third goal which came froma brilliant Jordan Langley cross which was headed home by Tim Georgievsky with an outstanding header. He followed this up with his usual spectacular goal celebration and the referee blew for half time (3-0)
The second half was only 9 minutes old when Town put the tie to bed with Jordan Langley scoring his first goal for the club and what an excellent finish it was (4-0)
Just 4 minutes later, on 58 minutes, Town extended the lead to 5 when Callum Silcox beat the offside trap and gave Harris no chance in the visitors goal (5-0)
Town then made multiple changes and lost a level of fluidity which allowed Croesyceiliog to gain some momentum. With just minutes to go Callum Hodges scored with a header (5-1)
Town weren't finished and Callum Silcox saved the best until last as he lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box with possibly one of the goals of the season. This was is hat trick goal and soon after Town were celebrating an excellent win (6-1)
