With a number of injuries to deal with it Garry Taylor made some changes to the team that played against Goytre United a forthnight ago. In came keeper Jac Jones, for the absent Nathanial Osborne, with Mikey Morris and Steve Berry dropping into defence
The Bluebirds arrived at Parc Ynysderw in good form after a 2-0 win against league title chasers Carmarthen Town. They also brought with him a very vocal crowd
Town started the much better team and were showing great confidence in attack. An early goal was needed and on 25 minutes Craig Davies scored after a corner. The goal was initially given but after a consultation between the referee and his assistant the goal was then dissallowed for offside ... it took longer than VAR ... lol
The opening goal did come 8 minutes later from Cameron Harris who put the ball away well after great work by Artiom Legavec to give Town a deserved lead with they looked likely to extend on many occasions but the game went into the break with Town leading by that solitary goal.
Instead of extending the lead Town were then pegged back almost immediately in the second half as Tom Rees picked up the ball in front of the away dugout and hit a superb strike which dipped into the net giving Jac Jones no chance. This was another dissapointing start to a second half by Town but they did regain the lead just 6 minutes later as Tyler Aylward's corner was superbly headed home by Steve Berry
Town were then denied a penalty which looked a definite one as Josh Dorward was tripped in the box but the referee said no contact was made. More chances came for Town but they just couldn't get that third goal
Then, deep into injury time, the visitors benefitted from some hesitancy in the home side's box and Kyle Williams scored an equaliser for the Bluebirds
The final whistle came and dissapointingly there was some tension at the end of the game off the field but this was quickly defused and everyone left the ground without incident.
