On a bright sunny day Town visited Ynysygerwn FC at their home at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport

Town started well with a number of chances not being taken which could have put the game out of sight of the hosts in the first 15 minutes but these weren't taken which gave the home side hope. Ynysygerwn started to create pressure of their own but didn't really worry Nathaniel Osborne in the Town goal too much.

It was becoming a frustrating game for the Town supporters as the level of performance ceretainly dropped after the first 15 minutes. Then came the one quality moment of the first half as Ben Scannell picked up the ball and fired home into the far corner from 30 yards. It was an absolutely superb strike from the Town number 10

Town looked a lot better in the second half and it did look like they were going to extend the lead and that they did on 63 minutes. Town broke quickly from an Ynysygerwn attack and the ball found its way to Kyle Copp who was just in the opponent's half on the right near the touch line. Looking up, he saw the home keeper off his line and hit a shot from 40-45 yards which was perfect and gave the keeper no chance and Town a 2 goal advantage.

Town had more opportunities later in the game but didn't take them. To their credit Ynysygerwn didn't stop fighting and went close on occasions but the game ended with Town taking the 3 points
