Storm Claudia had threatened this game going ahead but full credit to Cardiff Corries who worked hard to beat the weather and the game went ahead with the pitch, albeit soft, in great condition.
Corries were a busy side full of endeveour with some young players who look to have a bright future ahead of them at this level. It was Town though, with a great mix of youth and experience who were the better side throughout.
After 9 minutes Steve Berry hit a superb free kick into the path of Kyle Copp who took it down and slotted home with ease. It was an excellent goal with Steve Berry's pass sheer perfection. Not long after Town scored another when Josh Dorward, who was returning from injury, was brought down in the box. Kyle Copp stepped up and smashed hit home for his second of the game and 4th in two games. Just 2 minutes later Town got a 3rd when Joe Hunt's corner beat everyone and hit the back of the net.
Town were the better side in the second half and almost had a 4th when Jesse Meacock smashed a shot against the post. It took until the 69th minute to get the 4th goal when Kyle Copp put Josh Dorward who smashed it home with ease.
Town were defending well against a busy Corries side but when Jake Barrow lunged at the home side Otu the referee awarded a penalty. Town's debutant keeper, Elis Keating, almost saved Biggs's penalty but the game ended 4-1 and a relatively comfortable win for the lads.
Congratulations to Elis on making his debut and welcome back to Town Harri Lawson who has returned from Ammanford Town
