Groundsman Bob Woolford had worked wonders on the pitch after the previous weekend's Youth Cup Finals in the bad weather. The pitch was in great condition and the weather was decent although the wind picked up as the game progressed. Storm Dave was arriving early!
AFC Llwydcoed are at the wrong end of the table but they are a dogged team which are tough to break down.
Town took the lead they deserved on 29 minutes after a superb team effort. Jake Barrow, a replacement for the injured Harri Lawson, fed Josh Dorward who evaded a number of tackles to strike. The keeper saved well but Jesse Meacock was on hand to finish superbly.
On 37 minutes a mistake by the Town defence saw keeper Nat Osborne stranded and the AFC Llwydcoed strike hit the post and rebounded off Joe Clarke into the goal.
After the break Town were well on top and it was only a matter of time before the second goal came. Chances went and just as things were getting nervous up stepped Kyle Copp who smashed home a superb free kick to give Town the 3 points which keeps them in touch with the top teams.
