Town travelled to Swansea University to face league leaders Pure Swansea and, despite an improved performance in the first half, were defeated 4-0. After going down to an early goal Pontardawe Town came back into the game and hit the woodwork twice. They also lost captain Dan Alfei to what was found out to be later a broken collarbone

Despite the improvement the home side went on to dominate the second half with last season's top scorer for Pontardawe Town, Kyle Copp, netting twice for the home side

The team now have to dust themselves off to face Ardal League South West side Penrhiwceiber Rangers in the FAW Welsh Cup Round One at Parc Ynysderw next Saturday
