It was Halloween and Pontardawe Town welcomed Carmarthen Town to Parc Ynysderw.

It was a glorius day and the pitch was in fantastic condition so we anticipated a good game and it was an absolute cracker

The visitors were full of experience, including 3 former Pontardawe Town players, and they played some very good football in the first half. The home side did cause problems but weren't as fluid as they had been in recent league games. On 34 minutes the visitors took the lead through an absolute screamer by Ryan Bevan who gave Nat Osborne no chance

The half time team talk must have been a cracker as Pontardawe Town came out firing on all cylinders and immediately put the visitors under pressure from the whistle. Just 2 minutes had gone when Jenson Stone broke through and fed Liam Samuel who smashed it home low down. Just 7 minutes later Pontardawe were in the lead when Jesse Meacock's corner went in the net directly. Lee Idzi caught the ball but the assistant referee flagged for the goal.

The rest of the half belonged mostly to Pontardawe who deserved to increase the lead. The visitors had a couple of chances late on but Nat Osborne, with his defence, looked mostly comfortable and it was another 3 points in the back. Steve Berry's team were now unbeaten in the league in October and moved up to 12th place on 13 points
