What a battle this was in the darkness at Aberbargoed
A later kick off meant the game ended in darkness but both teams served up a cracker
It was end to end stuff with both sides still eyeing up that final promotion place
Town had chances through Liam Griffiths and Declan Horgan-Evans but a combination of good goalkeeping and the woodwork kept the scores level
The home side, led by Kane Giffard, always looked dangerous but the Town defence, led by Captain Craig Davies, were immense as they put their bodies on the line time after time
The goal came in the 89th minute as a corner was cleared and found its way to Tom Grey who hit a sweet strike which went through the crowd and under the keeper into the back of the net.
The Town celebrations were brilliant to see and extended to Portugal as manager Andrew Stokes was out there with his college team ..... his phone bill will be massive !!!
A great win and a great welcome from Aberbargoed Buds
