On a miserable day at Parc Ynysderw it was the visitors Abergavenny Town who came out victors by 2 goals to nil against a Pontardawe Town team who played some good football at times.
Whether it is a lack of confidence or luck a return of 5 defeats and 2 draws is a poor return in the league.
Abergavenny had Dan Jenkins to thank as he scored both goals, one in each half of a game played in front of a poor crowd which could have been as a result of the Swansea City v Stoke City game, the poor weather or even the Welsh League's error which showed the game as Postponed
Pontardawe's manager Andrew Stokes was also sent off during the second half by match official Teifion Cook
So it is on to another home game against Monmouth Town next Saturday and the search for a win continues
Meanwhile the Reserves continued their outstanding start to the season with a 2-0 win at Briton Ferry Llansawel which puts them top of the table with a 5 from 5 return
