A very young Town Reserve side took the field against what looked to be a very experienced and physical Briton Ferry Llansawel side. The lads played some very good football at times with Grant Stamp, Ashley Thomas and Scott Williams the pick of the lads
Despite a Matt Coley goal which levelled at 1-1 the lads found themselves 3-1 down at the break following an own goal by Jordan Hughes and a screamer from one of the Ferry lads. The visitors scored quickly in the second half and then came the unfortunate sending off of Jack Sullivan who raised his hands to protect himself from a shot fired directly at his face which as a result stopped a goal giving the referee no choice but to send him off. This was very unfortunate and nobody could blame the lad for trying to protect his face.
Ferry then went on to control the game and goals came easy as the home side lacked organisation. Substitute Kobe Westmoreland came on for Town and this seemed to bring a little more structure to the game but Ferry still managed to take the score to double figures.
The lads need to hold their heads up as today they were left without any coaches due to work and when they return the lads can get back to winning ways. The next game is Tuesday at Goytre United with a 7pm kick off
